Since Melo has tied Alex English's 1984-85 consecutive 20-point record at 14 games, I thought I'd see how many games you all think Melo will go with at least 20 points a game in a row. I looked ahead and saw a few tough games, San Antoino at game 20 is a defensive machine and at game 22 Melo faces Stephen Jackson and Gerald Wallace at Charlotte, a couple defensive stoppers. However, I believe Melo will go 47 games in a row with 20 points with game 48 at San Antonio, i'll give Melo 18 that night. What does everyone else think?

I too am a touch worried about Gerald Wallace of the Bobcats giving 'Melo some issues because he's such a unique player.

On the other hand, I think 'Melo could score 20+ in his sleep so the streak will probably be broken in a less conventional fashion (maybe an ejection, a foul out in combination with a bad shooting night, or -gasp- an injury.

As to what game any of the above might happen your guess is as good as mine!

done and done. 'Melo manages just 14 points against the Sixers in AI's return.
